Driving I-5 in CA at 60 mph gave me lots of time to think... We have so many placeables now that I was thinking that it would be cool to have a 16X map that had one small cleared area on it. Inside the cleared area would be a tank filled with fuel, a sawmill, parking area, and all the equipment needed to log. The rest of the map would be filled entirely with pine trees only. The land would all be flat and broken up with water filled gullies and a few small lakes. Other than the mods we currently have, we would also need a store, and a general selling point, along with a road section mod to place paved roads, and small 1-2 lane adjustable bridge mods to span the gullies.. the land would be sectioned and you would have to buy it before logging it and building on it like now. You would have to log in order to clear land to farm, build, etc.. It would literally be start

FDR has maps that are strictly for logging. He made a few for fs17 and I think he has made some for fs19.
He has a complete set of logging equipment to go along with it.
But not all his equipment is error free. In FS19 he has key binding errors for some reason.
He may be codong it like it was in FS17 whereas a lot of the xml coding has changed for FS19.

I really like our maps and mods... I don't think our mods would work on somebody else's map. But if you truly wanted to start with hardly anything, then my suggestion would work wouldn't it? It wouldn't take much to get there. Lol

dajnet made plugins for some of his placeables to work in other maps.
You need to have the PV Assets in there also and most likely the GC script.
I think most of hid placeables should work.

Durnic, did you ever try this?

I actually just asked the same question... I figured it would be easy to start on no mans land, add minerals, then log and build like you thought as well.

I really like the stages related to the factories in county.. just want it to be a base start with next to nothing (or literally nothing but a chainsaw).

No I haven't, but think starting out with nothing but a sawmill and chainsaw would be fun. They could make a cat that builds dirt roads. Lol

I tried looking for that too, I think that would be awesome to have an actual machine to make the roads.
Very light smoothing, dirt roads.. another machine to smooth and lay gravel or pavement.

The ingame tool is good.. but it costs a bit, and isnt immersive. Being able to go with a loader to get dirt for your dirt road(maybe this is how it smooths vs a rough road with the native soil), then go mining for gravel to make that or upgrade it and make pavement.

Pretty damn cool to me ;)
